Denali Tangle Racers Rendezvous:
Friday, July 26
9 a.m.-ish: Fuel up at a Cantwell Chevron gas station. This is where we will talk about safety and procedure (safety vests, bear protection, vehicle code-names etc.) and determine the first runner. How to determine the first runner: All team-member names go into a hat and a stranger at the gas station will pull the name of the first runner/biker for you.
Denali Tangle “Official” Start:
Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at Mile 130, Denali Highway
*Late arrivals are welcome to join their group any time on Friday along the highway.*
Denali Tangle Finish Line: Crossing the Tangle River Bridge
Welcome to the Tangle Lakes Campground, Mile 20.5, Denali Highway. Finish time depends on team structure. Bikers will finish Friday, runners on Saturday morning and combo teams sometime in-between.
Denali Tangle Pre- and After-Party:
Week of July 22: Glampers descend upon Tangle Lakes Campground and begin claiming campsites, preferably a group site.
Saturday, July 27: Racers relax and can go fishing, nap, berry pick, go hiking and exploring. A celebration of the fourth annual Denali Tangle will include a BBQ potluck, yard game competitions, a campfire and an informal awards ceremony.
Sunday, July 28: Group Breakfast, break down campsites, find the blueberries, continue fishing, yard games, farewells and a journey back home.
